Bislet Bilutleie (bilutleie = car rental) was established in Oslo 1st October 1969, and ever since the start the location has been Pilestredet 70, one block north of Bislett Stadium. The company was founded by Finn Dahl (1941-2009), who was joined by his son Lasse in 1994. Bislet Bilutleie is today managed by Lasse Dahl, with the help of several other family members, as well as a dedicated team of service minded employees manning both the office and the garage.
During the first 20 years, Bislet Bilutleie also rented out limousines and chauffer-driven cars, but this part of the business was sold off, and since the early 90's focus has been on renting out passenger cars, combi vans and cargo vans. Bislet Bilutleie is the largest independent car rental company in Norway, with more than 200 vehicles in its portfolio.
Parking conditions in the Bislett area have become increasingly difficult, which is why the company opened a separate Van and Truck Center in the Spring of 2011. Bislet Bilutleie, Sogn division, is located at Sogn/Ullevål in Klaus Torgårds vei (behind Sogn high school, close to Esso/McDonald’s on Ring 3).
